Austria and Slovenia play 1-1 draw in today UEFA Nations League match.

The hosts, Slovenia shared the points with Austria courtesy of a 1-1 draw in their UEFA Nations League campaign opener at Stožice stadium in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The home team started well, enjoying a lead through Benjamin Sesko’s penalty. However, Ralf Ragnick managed Austria, eventually asserted themselves and gained full control of the game following Konrad Laimer’s equaliser in the 28th minute.

After a fiercely contested clash and upon the conclusion of the Matchday 1st proceedings in the Nations League. These two teams have taken the first (Austria) and second (Slovenia) spots on the Group G table respectively.

Timi Max Elšnik (6.8/10): A spirited outing for the Red Star midfielder, who made several key contributions in both attack and defence with his work rate.

Sandi Lovric (6.2/10): Only clocked 63 minutes of game time and couldn’t have much impact making way for substitutes in the second half.

Andraž Šporar (5.5/10): A disappointing outing for the 30-year-old with just only shot on target and minimal involvement in the attack, taken off after just 60 mins of game time.

Benjamin Šeško (8/10): The talented striker lived up to his hype with another promising outing spearheading the attack, slotting home the penalty to give his side an advantage.

Patrick Pentz (6.5/10): Austrian stopper wasn’t tested by Slovenian forwards beside conceding the penalty, Pentz was solid.

Phillipp Mwene (6.5/10): Mwene looked vulnerable on right defence and gave away the crucial penalty opportunity to the hosts following a handball offence inside the box. However, assisted for the goal and created two chances.

Stefan Posch (6.4/10): The Bologna defender had a decent game and made vital interceptions and blocks keeping the attacker at bay.
