Yesterday Spain were crowned champions of Euro 2024 for a fourth time at the expense of England on Sunday.
10 Real Madrid players flew to Germany to represent their countries at the tournament. Here’s how we rate them from best to worst.
Dani Carvajal
What a tournament Dani Carvajal enjoyed. Despite picking up a red card that forced him out of the semi-final, the defender returned to boss the final and win it for Spain. Carvajal has played himself into contention for the Ballon d’Or this year.
Jude Bellingham
Euro finalist, two Man of the Match Awards, one match winner and one late equalizer, Jude Bellingham didn’t have a bad tournament despite what detractors will have us believe. Jude could’ve been named the player of the tournament if England managed to beat Spain. But that’s water under the bridge now.
Arda Guler
Arda Guler announced himself on the big stage in style. His goal in the group stage was simple out of this world. He added two more assists to lift Turkey to the quarter-finals. What a talent Real Madrid have on their hands here.
Toni Kroos
Indeed Toni Kroos could’ve carried on playing for 3 more years if he wanted to. He showed just how good he is at Euro 2024. Unfortunately, Germany were stopped under controversial circumstances by Spain in the quarter-final.
Antonio Rudiger
The Germans were looking like one of the teams to beat until a lapse in concentration by Antonio Rudiger allowed Spain to score a late extra-time goal and win the quarter-final. Before that Rudiger was arguably the best defender at the tournament.
Luka Modric
You simply cannot say Luka Modric is finished, not after watching Euro 2024. With Modric pulling the strings, Croatia created more big chances (7) than England (6). You wouldn’t believe which team went out in the group stage. Modric scored a brilliant goal at the tournament.

Aurelien Tchouameni
France didn’t play their best football at the Euros but we can’t blame Aurelien Tchouameni. The midfielder missed the first game due to injury but returned to reclaim his place in the team and fire Les Blues to the semi-final.
Eduardo Camavinga
Perhaps France could’ve went further than they did if Eduardo Camavinga was a starter for them. Camavinga was often brought in when the tide had turned against France which explains why didn’t really show his best version at the tournament.
Joselu
Spain didn’t trust Joselu at the tournament. The veteran striker played played just two of Spain’s seven games, starting one. He failed to score in either game.
Andriy Lunin
Following his impressive form with Real Madrid last season, Andriy Lunin started as Ukraine’s first-choice goalkeeper. But his first game was a complete disaster. He made two mistakes as Ukraine lost 3-0 to Romania. That was his last appearance at the tournament.
